I've swapped out my JR filter and heatshield setup to a stock air box and filter on my LCR due to trying to keep the noise levels acceptable for her indoors. Have done logs before and after and am getting a drop from 215g/s to 190g/s
I knew there would be a drop but this seems rather a lot.
Anyone have experience of this ? Is this the right kind of levels ? To me, approximately 30 bhp seems a big difference between the two

I logged my big filter back to back with airbox and gained something like 11g/s with open cone. no real difference in noise either

In my case the open cone is pretty loud. Mainly turbo intake but stock airbox is much quieter. If only I could have somewhere near the performance of the open filter with the lack of noise of the airbox. Nirvana I suppose

Open cone is also pretty loud yeah. I want to have airbox back as well, but my SFS tip is a tad to short to make a proper join with the MAF body.

So for now, open cone haha (with music set a tad louder)

yep

seen the same on dyno

hence why when asked oe airbox vs open cone, for power, open cone wins
