difference between ayp and auq engine

somebody knows the difference between the ayp engine and the auq ? Is the ayp engine stronger

AUQ is the code for k03s based lump found in golfs, A3s amongst others

though according to bill these have weaker internals

but did you mean AQX? as found in the early Ibiza Cupras? if so theres very little difference between AQX and AYP

search and you can see previous talks about AYP and AQX engines, but internals are meant to be the same.

despite rumours both cars have 2 lambda sensors

IIRC the only difference noted was emissions, so no engine is stronger than the other
