Difference between sport and FR?

I am thinking of selling my car to get a cheaper one to free up some cash for uni =]

just wondering what the difference between sport & FR were? facelift and not

I know the bumpers got upgraded
steering wheel controls
aux-in
alloys
fr seats
fr steering wheel

but what else is different?
what am I gunna have to lose!

I have tried searching but function is broken, and not in FAQ

changes in colour of rear lights too.

the front grill things are different =]
FR's have silver mirrors

I also read the sport has longer gearing lower down which makes it better to remap?

what about the differences with the facelift?
what changes happened then?

why would you get a prefacelift FR over a sport?

facelift had 17" rims instead of 16"
and obviously bumpers. as for interiors i dont know

id only get a fr over a sport as its newer tbh lol.

Depends on which sport you are looking at.

The first "sports" were 6 speed and 130hp

After the FR was released - at some point the "sport" became 100hp and only 5 speed

the sport 130 had a more forgiving suspension as well if im not mistaken, different alloys to the fr (both pre and facelifted models)

I have a 1.9 tdi sport ibiza 100bhp. 2008 model.
Got 16" wheels.
No cruise control.

iv got a 130 sport i belive the gearbox ratio is different to a fr aswel

130 sport has seat airbags yes, and computer, 6 gauges which are not white, full black dash (FR is two-tone grey I think).

yeh right enough, different gear ratios. can hold onto the standard clutch better when remapped i believe. personally my next car IF i choose another beeza, is between the pd130 sport and FR Tdi, im opting for FR i think now.

you have pretty much named all the differences...big one though for the facelift is more aggressive bumpers and nicer 17" alloys...

The facelift FR also has black seats with the FR logo on them, they look cracking. This is the car i want next, diesel all the way baby

yep of course you can make it facelift as welll...just stating think it looks more agressive

i've got a 2002 pd130 sport. I've put the face lift bumpers and fr wing mirror covers on it along with the cupra handbrake, gear stick and steering wheel. It has cruise control, cupra alloys and air con.

Looks pretty much like an fr without the badges and keeps up with the fr from a standing start so i can't see much difference in the gearing.
