Well ive given up on the car today ive got a major problem, well to me it seems major. I've gone to fit my discs and brembo calipers but theres a problem, ive torqued down the hub to caliper bracket put the disc on then the caliper and the looking closely theres a couple of thou raise and drop on the discs during rotation this is not making me feel to good about fitting them to the car can anyone suggest anything?

failing that can someone give me prices and numbers for new hubs and hub carriers from the likes of ecp/gsf/tps i want to fit this setup asap but its just another problem in the long line of problems im having recently thats actually getting me to thinking is finishing the car really worth it.

Many thanks in advance

chris

theres smaller movement on one side but on the other its quite bad even when i tighten down some shortened nuts there still movement ive been out in the garage most of the day trying to work it out but to no avail. i cant tell if its the hub or discs, i was contemplating trying to set up a dti but i dont know anyone local with one

It would be because the driveshafts are not in the hubs and tightened down. That will give the movement in the bearing.

you 100% sure on that alex cos its doing my head in proper grump on today

When i had the shafts off my car earlier this year, i fitted new discs and with the wheels on they didnt run true. With the shafts in there is no play in the hub and no disc rub. Witht the shafts off there will be wobble. Now go and cheer up :)
