Although my Alhambra is getting old it is still low mileage at just over 90,000. My clutch suddenly went wrong after a rather rapid take off. It would still drive but slipped if pushed too hard. My local repair garage fixed it, a rather unusual failure the pressure plate had broken into 4 pieces. I contacted LUK Technical Dept. about this & they said they have known it to happen but pretty rare. I have attached a photo of the parts. They have replaced everything including the DMF as it hadn't failed but was a bit sloppy. The clutch still had a good 5000 miles left on the disk but it seems a sensible decision to replace all parts.
I wonder if anybody else has had a similar failure?
