However beware that their prices are high for small amounts and try to haggle down.
For instance the end cap was £7 on their screen but they can discount to about £1.80! I paid £7 for the gauge and visited a local tyre fitter and asked for a tyre valve.
I was very lucky to get 60mm High pressure pipe for nothing as they had it laying around it would have been £6 a metre with a minimum of 5 metres!!
I have about 2.5 metres left of pipe (same as original build design on page 1) so if anyone needs some then PM me and I can post you a piece if you paypal me the postage costs.
However it didn't work as I tried a electric tyre pump which I confirm are useless. I will get a foot pump tomorrow and try again.
I bought a halfords rapid tyre pump that pumps a flat tyre up in 3 minutes. This worked a treat, however there is quite a leak as the pressure goes down quickly. Looks like a new set of silicon hoses are in order!
make one all you need is high pressure 60mm tube with an endcap and some glue. Get a valve from your local tyre shop and then get a less than 4 minute to pump a flat tyre pump with a display and your done. Easy!
About to do this next week so all i need to do is remove the oil cap and the dipstick? This right? Also if i have no leaks then it should hold whatever psi i pump it up to?
yep remove the oil cap just to be safe if testing right at the turbo but if at the intake pipe definitely otherwise youll pressurize the crank case and oil seals (cam, crank mains). youll also need to plug the crank vent nipple on the intake pipe.
You only need to pressurize to what your boosting...no need for more. Youll have some air bleeding it wont just hold indefinitely. About 1psi / second should be normal...
Going to test for boosts tomorrow on 180 lc, bought tester from boostester.com and video shows
1.remove MAF
2.fit tester in place of MAF
3.use 19mm bung provided to block off TIP where the PCV valve is connected(black puc just behond DV valve on TIP
4.pressurize
hope ive got that right and helps anyone else
