just get the ECS kit. andy posted a link on the previous page. i'm sure i probably have somewhere too

This water pump (with metal impeller), is this a VAG part a normal VAG dealer could get hold of?

Part number, any one? ETKA and dealer are not that clever. They don't say anything other than "water pump".

The waterpumps with brass impellors are pattern parts, VW only do the plastic ones

Just find a good VAG specialist and get it done by them instead of doing it yourself and potentially killed your car. I have been quoted £400 including a service and mot.

Frankly doing it myself would cost me more.
