Hi,

I think my CAT might be on its way out, i was thinking of a de-cat/Cat bypass.
Anyone done this to a Cupra R? Whats the noise like? any performance difference? i.e any downers?

Thanks!

I have a spare LCR cat if your interested;)

You'll get an engine fault light with a decat and it will obviously cause havoc everytime you need an MOT (So you are going to need a cat anyway for that)

I'm not sure on if there is any performance difference without 1 as im sure the turbo needs a little back pressure. These are modern cars, not like the old jap breed where you took off the cats and gained 25-30bhp. It aint going to happen.

ask arosaracer as he has one on his LCR. you'll need to get the second lambda mapped out if you do go ahead with it (stage 2 remap?)

Maybe time to treat yourself to a performance down-pipe and cat-back system? :p Any excuse will do :p
