Dodgy centre armrest

Hi all.
I have a dodgy centre arm rest on my leon FR Mk1. It seems that push rod that operates the mecanism wont engage properly, making it impossible to raise up.
I have removed the armrest and tried to take it apart, but it seems to be un-openable.
I know i need to get inside it to fix the mecanism, which i am sure is an easy problem!!!
Has anybody had a similar problem to mine. Any help would be appriciated....
I have called the dealer for a replacement unit the cost being £100 (***)
Does anybody know of any other places to purchase new units, or even spares from?????

He should be able to knock a few quid off that

Otherwise the only place I can think of is fleebay

There is a repair kit listed on |Seat parts system but I'm not sure what it includes? Have an ask in one of dealer sections or ring around you may be pleasantly suprised!
