Hope you guys can help
Im relatively new to modding but the first thing i want to do to my '55 Leon 150 FR+ is replace the stock panel filter with a green aftermarket and smooth out the air box. Keep it looking stock but get a small step closer to remap in sept.

After lots of searches I also want to use a pd160 air intake to get the max amount of air in there.
But I'm not sure if it already has a larger intake fitted as standard.
How can I tell what the stock intake is? where can i look for a part number etc to be sure? or what size is a pd160 so i can compare?
cheers

Apparently they don't fit the Leon, but the current 150PD airbox does a good job of letting in plenty of air for the remap.

I'll be removing the standard inlet and running 3" duct to the front of the car, standard paper filter. Might not make much difference in outright powe but if it drops the smoke like I expect it to that will be enough for me (and it may push the car to 200hp when its cold outside too, not much good if the torque>clutch though).

I have used 'ram air' on my old turbo car with a big cone, shielding *cough tin foil* and ducting. Worked a treat. Boosted up faster, felt much much torquier and made a great sound, almost as if the standard airbox was strangling it, which I suppose it was.
