WOW!!! You've got an 8 wheeler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Ordered mine from forge last monday and they turned up on thursday. Gona have audi do it next week when they fit my strut brace. Is it wise to have the idle set to 800 rpm to eliminate some of the vibrations?

Personally wouldnt bother mate, you will get used to it and it will calm down a lot!

I was all set to increase it when installed mine. Turned out there was no vibrations at all when idling.
Slight bit of vibration when moving under the right circumstances but i like it much better with the vibration to be honest. Expecially when starting the car.

Definitely dont change the idle before its done.

Well if they do it for free then why not.

But you wont know what the vibration will be like before or after ... but suppose that doesnt really matter

what i dont wona do is have the dog bone fitted, fine it has loads of vibrations and then have to re-book it in to have the idle reset as i havnt got vag-com my self

I would'nt bother with the idel mate.
I only drive mine at the weekends and it only took about 6 weeks to settle down,
If it's really bad then you could put a request for someone in your area with Vag com to adjust it for you.

I bet AUDI are charging you an arm and a leg for doing that aint thay?

Cheers D.K i may leave it then. Alot of people have said that the vibrations do settle down after a few hundred miles and with driving from colchester to tamworth and back every other weekend i'll see haw it settles in. Iv only just orderd the strut brace so dont know how much they would charge to reset the idle

sorry to hijack but when people refer to "they bought a dog bone mount" what they actually mean is the bushes for the dog bone mount? or do they actually mean replace the whole thing?

I belive you can get the complete unit but i'd have thought it would be cheaper to just get the bushes
