Door Mirror Removal/Replacement - HOW TO

last week some idiot took my driver door mirror off so after managing to get a cheap enough replacement (not from the stealers i may add) i had a quick look on here to see if there were any fitting guides and found there werent any, or at least any i could find so here goes took me about 40 minutes or so to do:

1) fist off you need to remove the door card; its a pretty simple job and there's a guide for that on the info base: http://www.seatcupra.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=460&Itemid=6

2) Next youll need to remove the small speaker in the corner of the window shown below:

3) It should just pop out if you pull it at the top:

4) Then just unscrew the three star headed screws circled in red in the picture and the back plate should come stright out.

5) Finally just unclip the attachment for the mirror position lever from the door card and hey presto. all done.

that happened to me too, but I haven't replaced mine yet, I'm being picky and trying to source a LHD one to sort the wonky ear syndrome.

Yeah, i know what you mean looks abit daft dont it, i like the look of the stubby ones on both sides.
