Hey guys, It's me again!

Fixed my boot trim today so I'm pretty happy, only 1 clip broken (and I didn't break it, last owner must have :D) and the metal clip was missing there as well so couldn't repair but it's gripping great now!

However! I have had another problem and I feel now is the time to tackle that one.

The passengers side door pin isn't popping up fully when the car is unlocked, when it is unlocked it moves very slightly upwards but nowhere near the height it should be.

Is this simply a case of taking the door card off and having a look at the plastic pin thing? I'd like to get it sorted because then I can actually lock that door from the inside easily and know it's locked.

Can get a video tomorrow if people are not sure what I mean!

EDIT: Instead of making a new thread.. Where do I find out the colour of my car? As in the name of the paint

it's weird, instead on the passenger doors, the surface for where you think it would be is just like the rest of the door i.e. no holes or recesses. and on the drivers door it has the led for the alarm on a plastic piece that looks like it's covering up the recess for a door pin

can you not just use the switch on the drivers door that locks and opens the doors, that makes it even easier:p my bros polo does this aswell, one pops up more than the other it may jst be a querk & its never really been a problem.

and how will u know its locked though?

if you lock the door and test it by pulling the handle its just going to open it again, an OCD's worst nightmare me thinks

loll si

no mk4's came with door pins...those must have been retro-fitted

my mum bought the 1.2SX when the mk4 first came out and had (like all the mk4's i've seen) just the caps on the top of the door card with the drivers having an led for the alarm indicator.

i'm confused now

Mine definitely look stock!

ye but doesn't it look a tad awkward, being chrome and all? I've never seen stndard chrome pins on any cars apart from luxury end (ferrari, bentley, etc.) even mercedes and bmw have plastic pins

I also have door pins, what age are peoples car with the pins?

Mine is a 2003 1.4 SX, but my mates 08 FR just has the blanking plates.

It might just be something Seat decided to fit for a model year change then decided to delete them again after?
