anyone removed any mk1 doors and were's best to unbolt them and get to those bolts... any pics or info is apprieciated

door removal

it went fairly straight forward m8.... but there's a lot of weight in them so grab some help in hand.... start off with removing door panel few bolts and a tug lol.. then you need to get window nearly up theres 2 huge black rubber circles pull the gromit out and then if you lift/lower window you'll come across the 2x 10mm head bolts remove them and your window will slide out i also removed the bottom door rubber aswell just more room....then you can start removing all your window regulator bolts simple task...and a gentle pull becarefull there should be a seal there if not silicone before refitting as the water as been known to leak through there and not through the correct holes at the bottom..then remove various plugs wiring and then i took the three bolts out the door which then left my hinges on my car.......
