door unlock button not working

on me key - the lock button works fine, but it has stopped unlocking, and I need to unlock with the key...just happened all of a sudden today. Any ideas? I'd have thought battery issues would mean inconsistent/temporomental, not just all of a sudden, and only one function, not both?

Av u tried the other doors just to make sure it is the key and not just the drivers door that's not opening because iv got exact same model as u and my locks been sticking on drivers door so had to put key in door as it wouldn't work wiv button but all other doors wer stil opening wen I used the button?

i just tried to post a link that expains all but the forum wont let me as i only have 10 posts

its possibly a microswitch, mine only unlocks the driver door from the key - doesnt appear to sense the unlocking, yet all doors unlock successfully with the remote key or the button on the inside of the driver door.

Sorry mate, I hate it when people don't read questions properly and not only have I done that but I've made a song and dance about it. You did say on the key fob and that stuff relates to the mechanisms inside the door.

I've tried reprogramming as per my manual (using the 2 keys) but doesn't seem to want to play...
