Take it you have a knackered sensor? Have you re sealed your door carriers? If not you prob have got water coming in and ur carpets will be soaking, that's a pic of my carpets when I done mine, hears I link on how to fix the water problem.

Yep, I have had wet carpets. The carriers have been leaking, but haven't had chance to fix them yet.
Did you do yours with butyl or silicone sealant.
I take it its the yellow connector.

Yellow connector mate yes, I just undone all the bolt and pulled the carrier of the door abit and just used sealent but good stuff that they use on windows it expands, people say don't use sealent but it's ur own choice mate, I've not had any problems since doing it, if you wanna use the butyl tape that's up to you, I made sure I done a good job tho.

Does the connection need to be replaced or is it just a case of drying It out and spraying with wd40 or water dispersing spray. Ta.

Don't spray anything In The yellow connector mate, I just made sure it was dry b4 conecting the other sensor, I blew in it and banged it on my hand to get all the moisture out.

Hi guys I am new here I have a few questions

I have a Seat Leon 2004 1.6 16V

The car had a leaking problem around the doors that`s why the water came
inside and went down to the floor (carpet) everything was crazy wet and the
side crash sensors as well) We fixed the leaking problems with silicone (
like a windshield glue) and waooo no more water inside!
The airbag light was long time ago on on the dash and we checked the codes
( I bought a VAG tool to check) and says:
1 01221 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag; Driver Side (G179)


1.2 01221 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag; Driver Side (G179): Open Circuit /
Short to Plus
1 01222 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag; Passenger Side (G180)
- 1.1 01221 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag; Passenger Side (G180):
Faulty


We bought two crash sensor we installed them and still no good possible
because it`s not compatible??? we couldn`t delete the fault codes
we got this massages:

01222 Crash sensor side airbag passenger side (G180)
62-00 no or incorrect adjustment

01221 Sharware Version to decode or DTSs
62-00 please register, activate


The questions are we still don`t know what kind of sensors I should buy,
I would like to make sure which one is the good? because the part number is 6Q0 909
606 every made of VW group has the same starting number and after is totally different

Anyone can help please
