Sorry @Dannnnn just one more question. How do you remove the airbag with the battery disconnected? Looks like the steering wheel must be turned 90 degrees both ways to reach the springs that hold it but can you turn the wheel when the battery is disconnected? I have keyless.

Yeah the wheel needs to be turned 90 degrees. Then back 180 to get the other side.
I didn't disconnect the battery but I don't recommend it as that's my personal choice.

So I switch the ign on, turn the wheel, pop the first side out, turn the ign on again, spin the steering wheel and then pop the other side. If you put it up on axle stands it will obviously spin easier.

Most people remove the airbag completely but there is enough room to just move it down enough to get the MF buttons and screws out.
