You'll be happy ! My coworker has it on is A3 8V tdi 150

Take is easy when it's wet, the torque is killing the tires thought

Mines a company car, so if the tyres goes, it doesn't cost me a penny ..... :D

I know what you mean about all this damp weather, so much power is lost due to wheel spinning, can't wait for the dryer roads ;)

No still happy days. Put it back to 4+2 and loving it. Took a colleague to work the other day and he could not believe the difference in speed and smoothness on the motorway. All I would say is 4+2 does not like full throttle at under 2000rpm. It still picks up really well but there is a slight judder/hesitation.

Cheers for the update Dean! My mates got a 330d and I'd love to be able to match his performance :) Think it'll be a birthday present to myself next month! Also, nearly achieved the magic 100 miles before the first fuel counter disappears. Fell 10 miles short :(

you be careful with that slight judder, make sure it doesnt get worse or it could be your fly wheel going.

Both very sensible sugestions.

I should add Andrew has advised me already stick at +1

Hi Dean, have you tried any of the other 3 programs that are available??

Yes. 2 is the second best but 1, 2 and 3 all make it a bit diesely with low down grunt that runs out at 3k. 4 is standard + more of the same that just builds and builds upto 4.5k

I'm an official member of the 100+ club! It actually went on to 124.7 before I lost the first dash, thought this was astonishing for a petrol!

Sounds like the torque limiter the PD170 Siemens PPD ECU had.

I could understand that if it happened on full chat but this is below 2k where it is not putting out loads of torque.

I just think the box makes you try things you normally wouldn't. I took it off and 6th at 1200rpm it hardly moves. The same with the box it picks up fine but you can feel some hesitation which is not there above 2k.

Maximum torque is made low down the Rev range.

PD170 was awful in first
