Hi

Can anyone tell me which buttons are meant to illuminate yellow when they are pressed on the dual climate control unit.

The Screen blower and rear screen heater currently do, is the recirculate button supposed to as well? It does on a Golf

The recirculate button on mine does not illuminate yellow, however I do get a little recirculate symbol showing on the red screen just between the two temperature read-outs.

Recirculate

Hi

Thanks for your help

The illumination of the controls is inconsistent.

Have you noticed, that when all the doors are locked the Padlock illuminates yellow, however when you press the unlock button the open padlock does not illuminate yellow when all the doors are unlocked

It's not supposed to. It's not a matter of inconsistency, it's a matter of function: yellow is for caution. If both the "locked" and "unlocked" sides of that switch were illuminated at all times (aka the "locked" when the doors are locked and respectively for the "unlocked") you could never tell whether the doors were indeed locked or not with a quick glimpse.

The other yellow illuminated buttons work similarly. The demist function buttons (both on the front blower and rear heater) are illuminated yellow to remind you that they are functioning. You don't need such a reminder for the recirculate.

Hope this makes sense.

Warnings

Hi Rodney

Why is it then that VW consider having recirculate on as needing a warning illumination and seat do the opposite.

Certainly leaving thiis on for long journeys could result in stale air and the driver becoming drowsy, surely a function requiring a warning!

In cirtain parts of this country having the doors unlocked is more of a concern than having them locked (safe)

Because VW costs you £ 3K more for the same specification ..... where do you think they make savings to make SEAT so cheap ?
