I've got a Forge FMDVR with the twisty top on my cupra r. When I back off the throttle I can hear it recirculating, but the noise is spoilt by the sound of it reverberating which almost sounds like the valve is bouncing for a while after.

Do I need to fit a stiffer spring or is this normal? I have got two other springs in the box, one yellow and one blue - am I using the right one?

on standard boost etc that valve is overkill mate, you should be using the fmcl007p or 006 if you couldnt get a 007p. im using the yellow spring in my cupra i think.

Thanks Brendy, I'll try the yellow spring and see if that makes a difference.

Why is it overkill - is it doing any harm?

Cheers!

they are designed for motorsport high psi applications, forge sell them as performance/tuned accesories, who recommended it to you?

m0rk, you got the dvr or the optimus?

the dvr (with stock diaphragm) shouldnt really be used for road applications, best to stick with the 007p as brendy said

I bought it from Waddy who won it in a SCN competition.

Whats better then - leaving it on or going back to stock Bosch unit? (can't really afford a new 007p at the mo.)

depends what diaphragm is in it, let me check some info and i will come back to you.

OMG just read this - when I spoke to forge they told me it was exactly the same as the DV007P but with the rotating top.

Which is exactly what I told Simon when we met.

I feel a bad now :(

Naaa don't feel bad mark, sold in good faith and all that.

Anyway, looking on the forge website, it's about £50 dearer than the 007p :p

Sorry to dig up an old thread but would it be ok to fit the Forge FMDVR to a revo'd 210 cupra R. Which has Stage 2 on it, all samco's, performance Zorst system, induction kit etc etc

Thanks
