haha they are indeed!

I'm driving a mk4 ibiza. Just fitted some BBS RX's which look so good! I'll do a RR v. soon :D

glad to hear it bud! i've got a whole list of things but little money atm haha

Cool mate, that was my intro to Seat lol.

I had a Silver Mk4 TDI and absolutely loved it! :D ha. Yeh that will be mint, can't wait to see what the wheels look like, I bought a set of Octavia VRS MK1 Wheels and look greats on em :p, luckily I kept them when I sold the car on and had them re-painted gloss black and now they're on my Cupra :D.

I'm kinda in the same boat lol, just doing bits here and there. Hopefully I can get it Revo'd this month while there's still 20% off them.

ahh mines only a 1.4 so theres not much i can do to it power-wise, but I guess if my next car is VAG then i can transfer some mods over :)

Ok cool, I'll have a look mate. Yeh will be good to see what you've done so far to it :)

I work down there at SUPLEX, across from Greencore, so literally up the road from Killamarsh lol. I'll try and keep an eye out anyway for you once I know what your beeza looks like

Yeh that'd be much appreciated pal, It'd be good getting to meet everyone and see all the cars!

i've not done anything to it yet mate will be starting with mods next month with coilovers then having roof & mirrors painted gloss black in september in between having that done it will be preping for winter mode.

yeah i know where you work mate i work at tkmaxx at crystal peaks retail park, i'll try & look out for you when out & about that area.

Yeh they are pretty hard to find, I bought mine nearly 3 years ago when there were more around, sounds good mate. I was thinking about selling the VRS ones a while ago cos I saw a set of 5 Cupra wheels for about 230 in great condition but then I'd of had to sell them too lol. When I bought it it had a set of Black & Silver Konigs on and I've still not sold them on yet

Theres a few decent 'universal' mods that you can do that you know will go on most other VAGs. Good look with the modding anyway buddy.

Ok cool mate, let me know how you get on with the coilys. I'm a suspension & spring design engineer so I have more of an interest than the average person lol :whistle:
To give you a heads up n the painting.. I don't know how much you've been quoted but there's a company called C J signs at the bottom of the hill on the way to Killamarsh from Wales, and they do vinyl wrapping and do a good job of it, I got him to wrap the spoiler on my Mk4 and also to wrap the tailgate spoiler and Seat spoiler on my Mk5 before I had it fitted. Not sure how much the wing mirrors would cost but I was quoted 85 + VAT for the full roof to be wrapped on mine. Its quite unfortunate with the wing mirrors cos Seat have now stopped doing the moulded black plastic Cupra ones and now only do a primed one to be painted the body colour, silver or black depending on model. I slightly scuffed the edge of my N/s wing mirror cover and was lucky enough to get one of the last pairs of black moulded ones, so I've got a spare pair of black wing mirror covers if your interested. If you want I'll take a pic of the small scuff to show you mate.

'I know where you work' :lol: haha, yeh I'll do the same mate, occasionally I go to crystal peaks if need anything after work but I live at Bramley Jct1 of the M18 to its easier normally going to Rotherham

ok mate will let you know how i get on with coilovers, i've been quoted £200 for roof & mirrors painted gloss black which is the best quote i've got from my local bodyshop where i live so that should be done in september. i rather have it painted than done in vinyl my mate had is done on his boc & it looks good painted up. were going to have the rear spoiler painted but going to leave it white cause i might stickerbomb it for the winter for just a bit of fun. cheers for offer for wing mirrors covers if you want pm a pic of them i'll have a look at that small scuff.

Ok mate, good luck with them. Let me know if you ever want a progressive spring set up doing? We've got a full range of 60mm, 70mm, 2.25" & 2.50" ID springs in our warehouse in various free lengths and spring rates.
Thats not too bad I suppose, imo when vinyl is done right it looks wicked. I think the Cupra owned by Revo has a gloss black vinyl wrapped roof. That'd be a first I think, the only Mk 5 that's been stickerbombed lol. Ok pal, I'll take a pic tomorrow and send you it :)

Crack in Front Grille!

Saw this a few weeks ago but didn't take a pic til yesterday, my front grille has a crack in it which has spread forwards from the bolt when its been over tightened, and Seat won't repair it under warrenty!.. bas*ards [:@]
Pic below (bit hard to see due to the light condition);

IMG_20120720_192307.jpg

To add to that they quoted me £90 odd quid for a replacement grille and £48 to fit it, so I did what any right-minded person would do and told them they could bollocks! :lol:
So I went straight on SCN and asked for a quote from the parts Guru that is David at Seres... only £50 (well if my local dealer doesn't make much margin on theirs maybe I can buy them from Seres and sell to them for £70! :p haha)

Anywho, I ordered the part and and it arrive yesterday, so I've got a little plan for this before I put it on the car, will put some pics up when it's done :D;

Le Grille (and my feet);

Good guess mate lol, nope I'll put a pic up tomorrow when its on the car. Did you wrap your badge in cfw? Think I might do that, where did you get the wrap from?

Yeah I did in carbon fibre...patience was the key! lol. I just ordered it online from a website, but you can order the wrap from any website, just google it and it comes up with a load of sites to buy it from. Ordered 2 sheets which came to under a tenner I think, was a long time ago when I got it. Got one sheet left and at this very moment, going to attempt to wrap the CUPRA letters

Update pics;

Decided to go gloss black with my replacement grille, so I made my own spraying booth (2 boxes, some pallets, a piece of wood, a metal hook and some tiewraps :lol:)
IMG_20120722_093959.jpg

Hung the grille then used some hycote plastic primer and gloss black, trying to make it as neat as possible, then as it was a warm day I thought I'd strip her off to keep her cool ;) haha;

looks good! ingenious spraying booth ;)

Should have done the 'S' black as well though..

Haha thanks man! I thought, theres no way I'm painting one side then the other would of been like sitting watching paint dry :lol:

Well tbh I'm not so keen on having the S black cos overall I'm not really fussed about badgeless, might do it white or anthracite though, something different :).
The other thought was a red surround for the s to match the one on the steering wheel

Not sure though yet ha.

Done anything to yours recently mate?

haha i know the feeling! I've just painted my front brake callipers red and i had to wait for them to dry before putting the wheels back on :doh:

Thats fair enough, black has been done so many times..
I'm liking the red surround idea! My dad said i should do it to mine:happy:

I've fitted a poop induction kit but i might get some proper piping for it so I can actually feel the benefit rather than just hear it! haha

I've de-badged the rear as well

Might get some honeycomb grill inserts from 'Seres' i think it is ? And i'll get a facelift front bumper from eBay if i'm in the mood for modding :p

I know that feeling mate! :lol: When I had my MK4 I did 3, yes 3! coats of Hammerite on them and it literally took all day to do them, obviously I had 4 calipers to do so I had a long wait haha. I'm thinking about doing mine red but also I think yellow will look good, gonna have them powdercoated though.[B)]

Yeh, tis quite common, might go for the Red idea when I can be bothered to take the Front bumper off again :lol: have you smoothed the boot over then with debadging it?

A poop induction kit? haha. Is it a panel filter you've got or a cone to replace the airbox? I had a K&N cone filter on my Mk4 and when you put your foot down it sounded wicked. Still got it but obviously can't use it on my MK5 + I've got the FORGE induction kit coming next week! :D

I think its definately worth having the honeycomb grille mate, I could never figure out why the MK4 cupra had the verticle lines grille either side of the Seat badge instead of the Honeycomb, doesn't look as good IMO.. but the facelift bumper is a revolutionary mod for the Mk 4, wish I had done it while I had mine.
