Hello guys just after some information, currently own a stage 2 (amd essex) remapped LCR, spec of the car is forge recirculating valve, turbo back exhaust with a decat, drilled airbox and panel filter rolling roaded at 273bhp. Anyway had a play with one of my mates octavia vrs 180bhp standard thats had a fmic, turbo back exhaust, forge recirc valve, few silicone pipes claims to be around 230bhp. We had a few runs and i couldnt really shake him off my back, at times i was gaining a little but not much, i remember seeing on my dyno print out it says 'suspect air mass' what does that mean? Would that cause it to not boost as hard therefore not pulling on my mate much? I brought the car already modded, if anyone can help i would much appreciate it.

Forgot to mention the recirc valve has the standard spring, do i need to upgrade this?

you don't necessarily have to upgrade, the standard DV is fine unless its actually faulty. some people think the forge 007/008 DVs are better and some say the standard ones are better.

by what you have said about AMD noting down suspected air mass then that could mean your MAF sensor is failing, this would explain why you might be down on power.

do you have vag com?

Make a log with vagcom and check MAF values, divide by 0.8 for a estimate max BHP. Also HP figures say nothing without the weight your car is carrying.

Losing weight is so important and often looked over.

Thanks for the replies guys, i dont have vagcom is there anyone local to birmingham here that could do the logs for me? Also in regards to weight, his is a mk1 octavia vrs i would imagine they are similar weight.

If you live near AMD, book your car in for a general checkup whereby they can RR it, smoke test it and swap a few snensors over just to prove the problem. Otherwise it maybe a little trial and error.

I live in birmingham theyre in essex lol. I may have a guy who has vagcom but how do i go about doing this log?
Thanks

Got a guy who will get it onto vagcom for me on thursday evening, he asked what logs do you guys need? What do i go into to get them? And do these need to be done whilst on a drive? Sorry about all the questions would just like to know exactly what to do,
Thanks

drive it.
3rd gear pull from 2k-6krpm on full throttle, in safe place

log 002,020,115 blocks

post them here sticking [ code ] and [ /code ] tags at each end so its readable (remove the spaces like I typed)

Cheers mate, going to see the guy tommorow so will update on what the logs come back as. Thanks guys!
