Getting my MK LCR Mapped @ AMD next month and wanted to ensure it's in tip top condition so wanted to replace a few perishables I see can cause issues as the car is coming up on 90K so time for things to start wearing out.

So far I have had a Terraclean (see other post) got hold of new coilpacks to go in, new temp sensor. N249 and SAI Bypass to be done by me.

New N75 Valve, Cambelt (with new Thermostat) and a service will be done prior to the MAP.

Next I was thinking a new MAF.

What so people think of the Recon Bosch MAF's from ECP? Think it's got to be better than a 90K old one for £60

Secondly my upper boost hoses are soft as :censored: so going to get these, being most of the lower one's are much shorter do these have the same intergrity issues (i.e. fail and collapse under boost)?
I ask as I'm in 2 minds to get SFS one's as at £130 I can almost get a FMIC sorted.

Always go genuine with MAF sensors, the reconditioned Bosch ones are awful, I made that mistake before mapping on a previous car.

TIP can collapse under vacuum (i.e. when the car is on boost) but a boost pipe wont collapse with postive pressure in it.

Thanks Dan, I had an incling that may be the case.

TIP was the first thing I did :D

Well I noticed when reving the car the upper boost hose deforms (collapse was probably the wrong way to describle it) quite badly and that's not even under proper load from the Turbo, that can't be good???
