I know this should technically be in the TDi tuning section...but technically it can go here too
Right, thinking of doing an EGR delete and basically want a walk through/ advice.
Obvious fact is that it's a straight pipe going in place of the EGR valve which is held on by 3 bolts blah blah blah.
Couple of bits I'm unsure about..
1-EGR cooler pipe work. I've seen delete kits for this lot as well..confused me slightly as I don't know if I need to remove anything else.
2-ASV- obviously I'll lose the anti shudder valve, has anybody had any issues with this? Drawbacks in the long term side of things?
3- what is actually removed? Eg-do I literally just remove the EGR valve and bolt the new pipe on, or do I need to remove cooler pipe work.
4-vacuum pipes. Do I need to plug/remove these or is there somewhere for them to go on the Allards or Darkside kit?
5-EML from this-guessing I can just clear the fault code and it'll stay off with my Liquid Gauge? Or will I need to reduce the EGR value in VCDS?
Thanks!
