EGR removal diagram

Hi,
Has anyone got a diagram showing where the EGR valve is and how to remove it. Thanks for any help.

What benifit does removing the egr give. Is it dangerous?

i dont want to leave it off. my Ibiza will not start and all i can find points to the EGR needing to be cleaned out. I know its usually done by giving it a good thrash but i cant! Can you help??

What makes you think it's the EGR - have you read some fault codes from vag-com ?

took it to the garage yesterday, was running perfect but my engine light has been on for a bit. they said its the egr valve and cat. they didnt repair it (£750) drove it the 10 miles back home ok parked up for 2 hours or so tried to start the bugger again and its now dead. friends got a seat toosaid its a common prob and "goble" said sounds like its stuck open.

only a bog standard 1.2 12v

1.2 12 valve azq motor egr valve is on front right of the motor...

i think for this there was an ecu flash update for theis problem or related to this problem
