Our oil light has been on for about 4 months now and changed sensors etc as there was plenty of oil and no leaks. Then Central locking has gone. Seat have looked at it and said its the main control box gone which is approx £700. Is this an ok price. I love the car and dont want to get rid of it.

Also the oil looked creamy and have been experiencing an eggy smell not constantly but atleast a couple of times a week is this a sign of the gasket? Hope not?

I love this car but it just seems everything going wrong with it at the moment had to have the coils replaced a couple of months ago, its looked after and serviced every 10k. Never mind lol.

What have you tryed so far to fix central locking? I'm guessin you've checked the fuses and replaced battery in key fob?

Oil looking creamy is not a good thing! I'd get that checked asap!

Also check with an independant garage or VAG specialist, as you will prob get better work at a lower price, as SEAT's labour costs are extortionate.

Can't hurt to shop around for quotes

Hello yes we have changed the battery in the fob, it was working one day and then not the other then all of sudden it stopped, the sunroof has been playing up as well when closing sometimes it reopens without even turning the dial. Just seems one by one all the electrics are going up the shoot.

Seat looked at the car and said it was the main electrical control box.

Yes think we will shop around for price, and definetly get the oil looked at. Last thing we need is the head gasket going.
