Eletric Mirrors Not Working - HELP!!!

Hi All,

I am hoping someone out there can help me. I have a 2008 Leon FR and today my electric mirrors stopped working. The passenger one is folded in and the drivers one out. I cant adjust the positioning of either the mirror unit itself or the glass. I have tried with the locking mechanism to shut them but still nothing.

I am hoping its something simple like a fuse however I dont have my manual to hand and would like to know if anyone knows what it might be so I can rectify before my journey home.

Any and all help is appreciated.

mine sorta sticks all the time... ie if they are folded in over night and i turn the key in the morning my right one goes out, but the left stays still.

usually jus use the wee dial to put them (the right one) in again and then out again usually does the trick

is yours completely stuck?

Mine does this i just give it a tap when i turn the ignition on and it works fine

It started working later in the day and has been fine today.

I did try playing with the little dial but it did nothing as did trying manual intervention (that said it was light touches as I didnt want to break anything)

So all in, a one off and I am a happy FR driver again!!!

What I do twice a year is fold them in the up position and give them a good squirt of WD40 then operate them a few time to work it in.
This should hopefully keep them moving freely.
