Yes i know inductions kits have been covered many times but i cant find anything on here about enclosed induction kits. I was thinking about going for a jetex cone with a jabbasport heatshield until i found out the price of the heat shield so then i thought i would drill and smooth my air box along with a cotton panel filter now im thinking about a enclosed induction kit. I used to have the forza apiro one on my 306 hdi and i was happy with it so im thinking about going for one of those again. Ive come across a RamAir one which is a little more expensive but seems better quality. So is anyone running a enclosed kit on their leon, preferably a TDi or even a petrol, any good?

Heres a few links:

Apiro Forza - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250676390005

RamAir - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390400255842

Thanks all :D

Just make sure the filter is a dry type. Oily ones will f*ckup your MAF sensor. I've had a Pipercross Venom filter, but sold it exactly because of this. I dont want to clean/swap my MAF sensor every year or so.

I would go with the Ramair if it's a dry filter, just make sure the filter isnt holding your car back, buy a one thats big enough. The Ramair looks like the RaidHp version, which is a dry filter btw.

Im running with an dry open cone from QSP Raceware, cost me €30,-. I will swap it every year, no need to clean it for such a low price.

Ok mate. Cheers. I was thinking of an open cone but suffer from heat soak and at £95 for a heat shield, i would prefer a enclosed one. Why doesnt many people run them is what i wonder though? I will find out what the ramair one is rated to and if it dry or not? Cheers.

Ramair say they are rated up to 280bhp and are 'dry' filter type. Also the ducting is 80mm. Will this fit on to standard cold air feed on car at front?

Also found out they are foam? Is this ok or would cotton be better?

Ive read about the foam falls apart after a while or is this with cheaper ones? Cheers.
