Halo, I've another question...

When I drive my car, everything sounds ok untill i don't start to push on the accelerator.
Untill 5.000rpm engine and turbo are ok, but when goes over the 5.000rpm the turbo is losing power and you can feel the engine like is switching off immediately, if I change the gear everything is again normal...

Is normal this? When I go over the 5000rpm I even listen to a noise like "pffffffff" from the turbo, is like stopping and pushing out all the air inside...

what can be this?

5000 rpm is well over the power peak for the engine, and well past the point of diminishing returns for any diesel engine. You have hit the limits put into the ecu map to protect the engine - basically you're revving the nuts off it.

The TDI engines deliver their best performance between 2000 and 4000 rpm. Above 4000 things are getting noisy and the power is dropping off sharply.

This isn't just a Seat or a VW thing: any diesel engine will get uncomfortable past 4000 rpm and pretty much give up by 5000, usually producing a lot of smoke by then as well.

That's normal for a diesel mate. I think you're trying to drive it like a petrol. Use the low down torque, rather than the top end power.

Remember what Luke Skywalker said..... Use the torque!!!! :D

Yes Obi! :p nice one btw :)

So, if this is normal, could somebody explain me how come that other guys that I know that has the Seat Leon 1.9 TDI Cupra FR 110Kw 150Cv can go over the 5.000rpm and don't feel nothing? I mean the car is going normally...

No map was done on their car, just all original...

I'm planning this w/e to clean the EGR and the Air tubes plus in the next month mount the BMC carbon filter... can this help somehow?

Thank you everybody :)

Just let your friends blow their engines up and you can then laugh at them as you drive past, seriously dude, as already said 5000 is way high enough and verging on damage for a tdi.:)

Ok man, don't worry, I'll follow your advises :)

BTW without opening a new topic, do you guys think that I can change the turbo with a Garrett and the intercooler with something "better" than the original and "bigger" (for the turbo)?

I saw that in England you have some shop that are selling the kit FK for the Seat Leon 1.9 TDI 110Kw at a really good price (ammo + springs for all 4) around 160pounds but they doesn't post outside UK, the only one that do it are shops that are asking for 3 time the price...

Somebody has some info on how can I buy those things at this price?
