Hello,
I am new to this forum, I know this topic has come up before but couldn't see it for the 1.4.
I have a Seat Leon 1.4 16v 2001, recently it has be stalling at round abouts etc when changing down gear . Also it seems when it is cold in the morning the engine is very juddery when accelarating for the first 5 minutes.
Can anyone advise me on what to do, what could be wrong.
I really would appreciate the help
Thanks
Dan

It was my MAF that was playing up when i had this problem on my 1.6, it really could be a couple of things, best bet is to get to a VAG mechanic or local garage.

Throttle body go on a mk4 golf forum you will find loads of info. A clean and reset may cure this.

Hey,
Im having a similar problem when gearing down on approach to roundabout and when on steep gradients.... it first happened a week or so ago, the oil light came on sounding three time followed by the engine management light, I took the car home let it cool down checked the oil, it was low so i filled it up. the engine management light went off after a few minutes of driving, but the car is continueing to cut out... and i seem to be losing oil but theres no evidence of a leak?!? any advice guys?
thanks
