Does anyone use this stuff before changing their oil? I've heard mixed reports on whether to use it or not. I've always used magnatec in mine, for the last 3/4 changes, but im not sure what was used before. The engine is quite high milage 115,000 so I'd have thought it would have some benefit to put some in.

ive been told that engines over 60,000miles dont need it ...or if u do use it not at every oil change interval, so i used it once and not gonna touch it again probably.

its meant to take some harmful deposits but with an older engine it (apparently) does more harm to it.

If you don't have any engine problems and you have used a correct good quality oil at service intervals you shouldn't need to flush.

The strong detergents in flushes can cause any stuck clumps to become loose and block alleys and other parts.

But as I said if you have looked after the enigne and its never overheated for the oil to become oxidised and thicken.

I've just had to use 2 bottles of flush on my engine to unblock the oil control rings but that was because my garage had been using a thicker oil than required, that and plenty of short journeys created the problem (@37k :/)
