Engine management light flashing and car misfiring

im glad i found this post , as this is whats happening to my car as of yesterday
i have got the leaky pollen filter and thought some water had been sucked up or had gone into the engine
i put my foot down and it just juders worse and sounds like a subaru
is this bad luck or will it have something to do with the leaky pollen filter

looks like i have the exact same problem on my car as described above only a week after getting my timing belt done it was funny how i was on route to the seat garage for the brake servo hose recall.
