I have just switch my insurance co. and am being asked for the

Engine No
Frame No

I have located an engine code 'AUQ' and I know what the VIN number is.

Are these the correct codes or is the engine number 'AUQ' followed by numbers and is the VIN number the 'Frame Number'?

Any help would be appreciated.

Engine number is a unique serial code that identifies your specific engine (8 digits from memory), like a VIN number. AUQ is just the engine type.

VIN, Frame, Chassis number all mean the same thing.

You'll find both on your V5C Registration document.

both be on the logbook but

engine code is on top of the timing belt cover with a bar code label

e.g. AUQ 123456

and the chassis no should be on the dash and viewable from outside

e.g. VSSZZZ1MZTR123456
