engine rebuild

hi guys

i'll be starting my engine rebuild in a couple of months for my BT conversion (still undecided which one to go for! maybe gt2871r?) aiming for high 300/low 400bhp!

is it worth buying calico main bearings?? i'll be getting the arp main studs and calico big end bearings and was wondering if i needed the uprated main bearings?

any help would be great

gt30 for 400bhp.... 2871 is going to struggle and run uber hot trying to achieve those levels

do you know roughly what bhp a gt2871r makes?? and also would i need calico main bearings with that much power??
