My VZ2 always starts in comfort mode, so no soundaktor, then I simply press the mode (Cupra) button 3 times to get to the personalised (cog) setting (which I have added the noise) and I'm away. Easy peasy.
You do not have to press the Cupra button three times.

Press and hold it and you are in Cupra mode. Press it again briefly and you are in the last mode.
I only use this button to switch between Cupra and Gear / Individual mode. And these are the only two I use .

How do you unplug the soundaktor? I don't have my car yet but when I do the first thing that I want to do is get rid of fake engine sounds.
Here you go. Easy to do. In my opinion it is much better when the sound actor is turned off. You get to experience the car and often times I am surprised about the amount of the sound I get.

Yep, I know about the long presses, but my car always starts in 'comfort' mode so initially have to do the 3 presses to get to individual.
