EPC light and engine Symbol came on

HI all, I have a Mk4 1.4 S edition and this morning I noticed on the dashboard the EPC light and the Engine symbol lit up.

The car felt fine to drive so not sure what it could be. I do know that the back right brake light needs to be changed, could it be this?

Any information would be really appreciated.

If i can remember correctly, EPC means there is an Accelerator pedal fault.
The engine symbol meaning that there could be an electrical/transmission fault, your best bet is to take it to your dealer. I stand corrected if im wrong with the diagnosis.

Mine is doing this alot recently. The car drives fine, and cant see or notice any faults so i have just ignored it, and it reset itself.

likewise was wondering if any damage has been done...its only come on once tho...
