Hi can anyone help I’m so frustrated after being to 4 different garages over the last 9 odd months and no one can help me

EPC and traction control light causing limp mode, but intermittent not always on can be data on or off, or a few times a day. No cause known as it can be when driving slow or hard, straights, corners etc. Was cleared about 8 months ago but after battery disconnected to change alternator it’s now returned and clearing twice hasn’t worked long, mechanic said codes show issues with throttle body but the way it’s intermittent and been cleared ages before now being on so if it was a major throttle issue I think it would not have been 8 months no issues. Has anyone had this?
Garage wants to do a new throttle body which I don’t want to waste money doing if it’s not necessary!
