Epic Ibiza nightmare

Basically i wanted to trade in my old knackered corsa on the scrappage scheme. Sounds easy enough. We went to a seat garage got an ibiza for £8,500 then obv £2,000 off for scrappage. Only problem i had was that i only owned the car for one year on the 7th of July (i signed the contracto on something like the 26th of June), so the garage who shall remain nameless atm said to come back when i had owned the car for a year to sign the final bits of paperwork and for them to actually order the car. So i went back on the 7th and the car was then ordered so i thought, i was then told that my lovely basic Ibiza would be here around the 18th of Sept.... then it was the 3rd of October... then it was the 19th of october... i recieved an email today saying that it will now be mid to late november if i still anted my red one or early november if i wanted a white one :S (i actually joked with the garage the first time they put the date back about whether id have the car before christmas LOL).

Anyone have any idea on where i stand on getting a courtesy car?
Anyone had any similar problems with a certain garage in the greater manchester area?
bit off topic but anyone know if i put my own sound system in it voids the warranty on the car?

Any help much appreciated

Rotherham, South Yorkshire!
When you signed the contract, did you get a positive date when the car WILL be delivered to you, was a date writen in the contract ect....
If not then i'm guessing you'll just have to wait, always happens with the brand models coming out ect...
Jeremy Clarkson had to wait 18 month for his Ford GT!!

Sorry if I'm missing something but why would you get a courtesy car?

I ordered my car early May and got it in September, so I wouldn't say you are waiting much longer than anyone else.

If you mean the dealership which has the Skoda garage next door then from my experiences they are spot on.

I am surprised for a basic model you could not just have one they have on the forecourt.

Sound system in a new car shouldn't void the warranty but check with the dealer.

i ordered mine on the 26th june and iam picking it up on sat:D. is it is the mot and tax which is running out is that the reason that you are wanting a curtesy car? if so i dont think you will get one. i had the dealer take my scrappage car early and im on the bus at the min as i couldnt see the point in payin for mot and tax for the couple of weeks i would have had the car for.

But you can say your scraping the vehicle and then get the rest of the tax back. They dont keep it all if you scrap the car early.
