Er, does this cable matter?

Hello everyone,

I was following the advice of this excellent forum to make sure that my Exeo battery area is not swimming in water when I came across this cable. It doesn't seem to be attached to anything, possibly because I dislodged it clearing leaves.

Does it matter and should it be plugged in somewhere?!

That looks like a washer hose, not a cable. So, yes, it should be “plugged in” somewhere I think!

that oval shaped piece of plastic looks like the bottom of youre washer jet so you may need to replace that are youre washer jets working on both sides?

My son has my Exeo now, but if I remember rightly what you have found is the battery breather which pushes in to a recess on the side of the battery/holder. It gets unclipped when the pollen filter is changed.

Thank you all. Being the newest and most inept member of this wonderful forum I went to my friendly local mechanic and it is, indeed, the battery vent pipe. Julian wins the prize but many thanks to rafletcher and S70DGE
