Hi, I went out and started the car 1.8t cupra today and left it for 5 mins to warm up, when I returned the engine management light was on, I took it up to a friend who has a obd reader and it came up as P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected. Any ideas what this could be? The car seems to be fine with no funny noises.

Thanks in advance

Mine has the same fault. Mine also drives fine. I have been looking for solutions, but the common theme is that its expensive and difficult to find the actual fault.

Of course, if anyone has a better solution i would love to know.

Been speaking to a friend and he thinks it could be a vacuum leak. Need to check all the pipes when it's not as cold and wet!

Ok. What will I loose out on by blanking off this pump. Also is there a how-to for this?

Thanks

I sometimes get this fault code up too but just delete with the fault reader, had it do this for years now with no ill effects.
I've heard before that a small split in a pipe was the cause on a car that the garage I use had in.

i had the same problem a couple of months back. turned out to be a split vacum hose that comes of the secondary air injection thing. check the vacum hose coming from the valve on the side of the engine. theres a few threads on it.
