Hi all,
Got my Leon 1.2 TSI DSG 5d,
and i was wondering how can i disable traction/stability control?
i know it don't turn off completely.
in my old car (ibiza from 2009) i could disable it.

i don't find any button in car to disable it, and in the car settings in the media system.
i see menu for "ESC System"
but when i click it, i get a message "Function not Available"

any ideas?

thanks

You should be able to turn traction control off in the menu somewhere under "Car". Engine obviously has to be running at the time though

engine is running, as i wrote:

Hmm, I can't check now as I'm about 4000 miles from my car as I'm on holiday. I'm sure someone will be able to comment more accurately soon

That sounds odd, sounds like you are doing it right but the system is throwing up an error, I think its time for you to have a chat with the dealer....

You would get that message sometimes, if switched on but engine not started.
Also had the same recently with tyre pressure alert after a tyre replacement, it alerted while driving, I pressed "confirm" (to recalibrate) but I had to stop, shut off completely, and turn it back on before I got it to work.

go into car settings select ESC sport on the FR this disables traction control light will come on in speedo

Thats odd, on mine its Press Car (Button), Press Setup, Select ESC and it has on and off, no sport.

Although I know if you put the car into sport mode on the driving profile it dials back the ESC a little but not all the way.
