Hello chaps, I'm new on here so apologies if this has already been covered (if it has it would be much appreciated being pointed in the right direction).

I have a Leon Reference Sport 2.0 Tdi, 07 reg. Had it for a little over a year and already had the Turbo replaced. Just recently however the ESP / ABS light has been appearing on the dash after about 5-10 minutes of driving. Sometimes it comes on, other times it doesn't. If I turn the engine off then back on again, the ABS light stays lit for a few seconds and then turns off, but the ESP light remains off.

I know one of the brake pads is wearing thin from my last MOT, so I wondered if it was related to this?

I've done a little bit of research in to this and it seems it may be a faulty or loose wire, or worse case a brake pressure sensor. I've lost faith in my local Seat garage [:@] - so I've turned to you guys to help me out so I can get 'educated' before making any decisions.

Has anyone else experienced this?
I imagine it's ok to drive as the lights don't stay on constant nor does it go into limp mode?
I also heard if its a brake pressure sensor problem it's a common fault and VW were replacing the parts on out of warranty vehicles FOC, does anyone know Seat's stand on this?

I've got the same, mine is a faulty g44 wheel speed sensor. With the lights on the esp and ABS systems do not work, so if you are expecting a safety net it isn't there! The fault started as a rare occurrence that a restart would fix, but is now present on every drive

I'm finally getting mine sorted tomorrow, I thought it was the brake pressure sensor G201 but it was not. That diagnosis cost me 70....... the fix will be under warranty though, so should be free!

Get it scanned by a dealer or someone with VCDS and they will tell for sure.
