9x16's on the back go on with et15-20 Wouldnt go any wider than 8j on the front.. I have 7.5x16+9x16's

yeh apparently, but ive had wheels like this on my mk1 golf before, no bother ever with police or MOT....

Ive had any amounts of police sitting behind me in traffic and stuff, you CAN notice they stick out along with my german plates too LOL

Some people also say its the tyre which needs to be inside?

i've always dealt with styledynamix over the years. they're the best when it comes to german rims, arch rolling, stretched tyres etc. Ive got 9 & 8 by 17" and will be getting the arches rolled to get it sitting the way i want without much contact with the arches.

my tyres are stretched and literally falls in line with the arches. thought it might be a problem with the mot last month, but luckily not.

Well mine went through MOT so....who knows?

GERMAN plates, they were a freebie when i bought my wheels...i like the look of them much better than the standard style/font, plus i dont have any german flag/symbols on them? So not really at all German plates i should stop calling them that! lol

Ps. i wish it was german really anyway

theres nothing to say that the tyres are illegal nowhere in the VOSA spec sheet for MOT`s does it say anything about wheels protruding the arches although some people say thAT if the tread on the tyre sticks out more than an inch from the body work then its illegal but it would look rubbish anyway

biggaz - do you have problems with the wheels scrubbing the arches on the back much?
I was looking at 7.5x16 ET30 for the front and 9x16's EtT15 or 25 for the Back, what would be the better offset?

25 et would be better it would sit in a bit more clearing the arch's better..

Mine do scrub, not enough to bother me....
