Exaust for LCR

I was reading and I'm not sure about one thing...
I want to improve my exhaust, I do not want to get too much noise.
Going for de cat or a sport cat... not sure about the M.O.T. after that. Want to keep more or less legal.
What options I have?
the good and bad points of each type.
Apologise for the question but I'm new to the petrol engine as I had a diesel engine before....

Most go with miltec or scorpion.
Decat and mot will fail.
Sports cat may fail too but if you buy a good brand you should be ok.

What do you want to achieve? More power and throughflow for a remap or just a quick a simple upgrade?

If you want to go simple just leave the cat and replace the backbox.

A non-resonated catback will be slightly louder than OEM but nothing over the top. A resonated version will be even quieter than OEM. Both will give a tiny bit more horsepower.

Milltek and Scorpion are the two most common brands.

How much was that bud? Is that pretty quiet then?
I'm looking to do my LCR.
Had my LC done years back by Ryan at Custom Pipes.
Brilliant job. Still going strong 8 years on. Proper steel. Hand built while you wait.
Cat back is £350 now as I checked with him last week. I have one silencer removed so very sporty without being too offensive.
Mind you quieter = stealth.
