So I saw a an Audi with all the chrome blacked out, I think it's a specific model.

I want to do a few bits to mine.

So here it is standard, as it is now...

Then photo shopped with the potential mods..

What do you think?

I think a darker grey for alloys, like a gunmetal grey or a shadow chrome?

Plus paint callipers red?

Black Edition is the Audi model name.
Looks great in your pic [B)], wouldn't be too difficult to do apart from the roof rails which are a bit of a pain to remove.

Thanks... I was thinking of trying the plastidip paint? Masking it all up? then when it comes time to move on, either sell as is or just peel it all off?

Was thinking it might look smart with the chrome wing mirrors to give a bit of something, might try that in photoshop now...

Black electrician tape. It was just a test to see what it looked like and I do like it. Need to find a more permanent way tho. It does overlap around the rear side windows only thing that lets it down really

haha, I hadn't thought of that, might be worth a go myself to have a look see how it is in the flesh...

The chrome is a pain, I love detailing and am a member over on Detailing World but the Chrome stuff is just crap to get perfect.

I've got some carbon fibre wrap but I don't have a piece big enough, plus I think it'll look a bit chavvy.

I was thinking getting it wrapped but don't want to take them off in case they bend. The chrome is a pain to keep clean.

Hi
I think the Exeo "Black Edition" Looks great I agree with you the aluminium/crome mirrors would finish it off great. The wheels look cool too, with the red calipers.
More PhotoShop, ideas required great thread. :D

I got my front and rear badges wrapped in gloss black and my mirrors wrapped in brushed aluminium. Totally changes the look of the car

i've got a white exeo sport and have wrapped the rear badge, window surround and grille surround in gloss black.
makes a huge difference [B)]

Interesting post - the chrome trim near my wing mirrors have a strange marking on them which I can't get off - looks like dried off rain but it doesn't go when polishing - might consider this but I quite like the chrome in general on my silver Sport Tech facelift.
