Exeo ST auto tailgate / boot opener

What parts are required to make the tailgate on my ST auto open when I open via the remote?

There appears to be a few topics on the saloon version but none for the ST.

It can be done as there are loads of videos on YouTube.

The saloon uses an extra spring mechanism, but from the videos for the ST I can't see these spring mechanisms. I was wondering if it's just a case of swapping the struts for more powerful ones?

For the saloon standard VAG parts are used for opening the boot. This isn't possible with the ST.

Done and it works. It's a little more fierce than I expected but I can live with that.

Parts you need are.....

2x Audi A4 2010 - onwards tailgate struts rated at 530N (seekpart24.com/febi/gas-spring-boot-31666?c=100826)

2x springs V20x38 Light Load Die Spring (bearingboys.co.uk/V20x38_Light_Load_Die_Spring-31028-p)

And follow the instructions in the youtube link above.

Hi guys I know this is a old thread but looking to dos this to my exes St... I have found http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=140898777185 -on eBay but the rating is 690n force and wasn't sure if this would be a bad idea to use...

Are you looking at the ST or saloon?

If the ST, see this that was recently done on a A4 Avant .

If you try it, please feed back with how it worked - it's on my to do list!
