Exhaust Mounts.

Are mk3 exhaust hangers/mounts a straight swap for the mk2 ones??

I have a mk3 20v T exhaust on my car and the back hanger is jubilee clipped round the mount as the mount is round 90 degrees.

Would i need cupra hangers/mounts or just any mk3 hangers/mounts??

The exhaust wasnt on when my car went for an MOT but im guessing i would need it to be in the hangers correctly for it to pass the MOT, not just jubilee clipped round.

there's 2 styles of hangers

one goes longways other sideways

iirc my 16v was spot on when i put the 20vt pipes on bore size and hangers

I need the hangers that go longways. The hangers currently on my car go sideways, hence why the exhaust is jubilee clipped round the rear hanger.

Mine just went straight on . The only thing i did was fit longer bolts to the rear mount and space it out so i didnt have to cut the rear bumper. Fits like a glove.......

I didnt have to cut the bumper on my car to fit my mk3 20v T exhaust. It just sits under the bumper. But with my mounts being sideways,not longways the rear hanger on the backbox is jubilee-clipped round the mount. Hence why i was asking about the mounts.
