Exhaust Options

My exhaust has seen better days (the DP is blowing and the rear silencer has rusted through it's outer skin). I'm looking for something resonated, including a sports cat. I've seen the Pipewerx DP + sports cat on AwesomeGTi, but how do they mate up with other brands in terms of cat-back? Milltek are outragously expensive (£1363 for a TB at AmD! :O), but the cheaper Cobra TB has a stupid big exhaust tip that would put dustbins to shame.

What do you guys suggest?

Go for the Cobra, but ask for a smaller exhaust tip as the exhausts are manufactured on site, so they should be able to do a different tip

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know they do tips to order. I've heard nothing but good things about the cobra system but that tip is way too big, it was the only thing putting me off.

Edit: Just noticed you work for JLR; do you ever visit Dunton TC?

No worries mate, I have the full cobra system, and tbh I wasn't sure about the std tip they come with but it doesn't look too big on the car, it is a lot bigger than stock tho, have a chat with Matt he is very helpful

Does anyone have the dB level of a turbo back, resonated 3" Cobra system?

I'm afraid not mate. At a guess I'd say the resonated one is loud, the non-res louder!

Agreed, my 2.5" Cobra resonated is "way" louder than a 2.5" Milltek non resonated
