Yep, it will make a big difference in throttle responce, as the standard system is very restrictive imho. i have the milltek system on my pd130fr and bunnin has the system on his 20vt fr and it makes a massive differnce and well worth the money.

I agree with Spaniels if you are going for a Custom Code Phase 2.

Milltek are developing a de-cat for the Ibiza at the moment so if you were after one of them it shouldn’t be too long now.

You mean technically ilegal - and yes im pretty sure it is!?

Tho, I think a DERV can pass the MOT test without a cat JUST?!

Either that or just stick the cat back on for MOT's and hope u dont get pulled for emission testing?!

Or.. carry a live animal called a cat.. nah!

Yes it is ;)

Milltek will sell it to you but you will be told it's not for road use.

hows it road legal then ,

im sure all cars made after april 93 (or sometime like that) must have a CAT fitted , if u wanna decat , long bar n hammer n beat the insides outta it , least then it looks like a CAT on the outside at least , but a proper test will show whether it functions or not

Will it make a difference between the de-cat and the sport cat from Milltek?
I don't know what to do....waiting for the de-cat to be available or allready order the Milltek with a sport cat:think:

Its entirely up to yourself mate, i have the sports cat and personally wouldnt want to take the risk. I got pulled at a local vehicle weighbridge off jct 18 of the m1 the day after i had my catback done and am glad that i didnt go for the decat for that reason.

I don't care about that...if i'll do it then it's pure a power issue.
A drove for 3 years without a cat with my previous ibiza but that was custom made.

Got a full SS Powerflow system on my FR 1.8T, it made a bit of difference with APR 95RON map but for stage II you need turbo downpipe as well as sport/race cat and freeflow air filter.

TBH I would go the Miltek route if I started again as a bit worried about matching up Miltek downpipe/sportcat to my existing system.

Has anyone had the stage II done yet, Awesome reckon on around 240bhp!! - can't wait....
