Exhaust - Warranty???

The exhaust on my 54 plate LC started rattling like mad today.

Took it to National who put it up on the ramps and showed me that the two clamps/brackets had rusted and broke! Said it would need welded or a new mid section and back box...

Question is what is covered by warranty? Will SEAT weld the bracket back on to the exhaust or replace the sections?

It's worth asking, but sometimes exhausts are classed as a consumable item. No harm in asking though.

Well just back from SEAT...

There going to replace the mid section and also the back box!
If they weren't going to replace it i was gonna get a stainless steel one fitted.

Now I'm thinking just get a stainless one and sell the standard mid section and back box... Hehe any ideas how much I'd get for them?

Also if your warranty is about to run out its worth having a good look at your exhaust and giving the brackets a once over!

This happened on my LC and LCR, both have been done on warranty...

My LC had the same problem. It was repaired under warranty but when I did the brakes I notices that the 'fix' was a big jubilee clip!!!
